When you purchase a Clock or piece of furniture from my one man shop, you can be assured that each piece is a labor of love that is made by me personally.   The figured hardwoods I use are hand selected by me for the best grain character and are kiln dried.   In my chiming Clocks, I use only Hermle movements of Germany and are the finest made.  The finish I apply consists of a 3 step process:   First, several coats of pure Tung Oil are applied to bring out the woods grain figure.   Then 3 coats of Shellac are rubbed in to seal the oil finish with fine sandings between each coat.   After the Shellacing process, 4 coats of Paste Wax are thoroughly hand rubbed in to produce a glowing antique patina that brings out the true beauty and warmth of the wood.
